KIA Sonet is a class A SUV, first launched on August 7, 2020 in India. The car has 3 engine configurations and 2 seating configurations of 5 or 7 seats, depending on the market.
On October 9, 2021, KIA Sonet was officially introduced in Vietnam by distributor THACO. The car is assembled domestically, distributed with 3 versions and 9 exterior colors: pearl white, gray, silver, black, navy blue, bright yellow, sand yellow, red, orange.
KIA Seonet is positioned below KIA Seltos, equivalent to the A+ or B- class SUV/crossover segment, competitors can include Toyota Raize or VinFast VF 5.
KIA Sonet launched in Vietnam has quite large dimensions, the length, width and height parameters are 4,120 x 1,790 x 1,642 (mm). This is the same size as the 7-seat version in the Indian market, but in Vietnam there will only be 5 seats.
Overall appearance of KIA Sonet 2023 looks dynamic and youthful. The front of the car stands out with a large tiger nose grille, glossy black paint and dragon scale-like patterns surrounded by a chrome border. Above is a unique compartment-divided light cluster, using modern full-LED technology on the most advanced version. The front bumper has a raised design on both sides with large silver plastic panels, emphasizing the muscular beauty.
The car's body has many bold SUV design lines with high wheel wells, sturdy black plastic panels and embossed ribs. 16-inch 5-spoke wheels, 2-tone combination. Electric adjustable/folding rearview mirrors combined with turn signals, chrome door handles with smart unlocking feature. The car's ceiling has a striking and convenient silver-painted shelf.
The rear of the KIA Sonet 2023 is compact, creating a strong feeling. The exhaust pipe is hidden to increase aesthetics. The LED taillight strip extends across the entire width of the rear of the car. The bottom of the rear bumper is painted silver and covered with a black plastic panel on the outside.
Interior
KIA Sonet 2023 has a quite spacious and comfortable cabin. The car's interior has 2 colors: black or beige for customers to choose from. Interior lighting system, gear lever, 3-spoke D-Cut leather-wrapped steering wheel with sporty red stitching integrated with luxurious glossy black plastic buttons like on the Seltos. The floating screen is placed horizontally seamlessly with the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, and the air conditioner is surrounded by 2 unique air vents similar to the Sorento.
The clock cluster is designed with a tachometer on the left, on the right is a fuel meter and engine temperature, the vehicle's speed is displayed in numbers inside combined with a small information screen.
The seats on the new KIA Sonet are all covered in leather, in which the driver's seat is electrically adjustable, and the second row of seats can be adjusted to recline or fold 60:40 to increase storage space. The rear seats are equipped with a center armrest that can be lowered, helping to increase convenience.
