According to the latest post by blogger @DigitalChatStation, the engineering prototype of the Vivo X Fold 4 is designed with a thin and light design, aiming to set a new standard for foldable phones. Despite its elegant design, the product is still equipped with a large battery with a capacity of about 6,000 mAh and supports wireless charging. In terms of durability, the Vivo X Fold 4 meets the IPX8 standard for water resistance.
Similar to the X Fold 3 Pro, the Vivo X Fold 4 will have dual ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, one for the front display and one for the inner folding display. The device's camera system is also impressive with a large circular module in the middle, including three 50-megapixel sensors: a standard sensor, a 3x periscope telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens, providing diverse shooting capabilities. In particular, the Vivo X Fold 4 will integrate a multi-level pressure-sensitive button, a first for Vivo smartphones.
According to leaked information, Vivo may only release a single version of this foldable phone, instead of two versions as before. The Vivo X Fold 4 is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and launched in the first quarter of 2025. However, the latest information from @DigitalChatStation said that the launch date has been delayed, it is likely that the product will be officially introduced in the second quarter of 2025.
