The exact battery capacity of the iPhone 16 has finally been revealed.
Apple is notoriously tight-lipped about the detailed specifications of its iPhones, especially battery capacity. However, thanks to Brazilian regulatory agency Anatel, users finally have the exact numbers on the battery capacity of the newly launched iPhone 16 series.
Full battery specifications for the iPhone 16 series have been revealed.
Accordingly, the Cupertino giant has brought significant upgrades in battery capacity to the latest generation of iPhone, specifically:
- iPhone 16: 3,561 mAh, 6.3% increase compared to iPhone 15.
- iPhone 16 Plus: 4,674 mAh, 6.6% increase compared to iPhone 15 Plus.
- iPhone 16 Pro: 3,582 mAh, an impressive 9.4% increase compared to iPhone 15 Pro.
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4,685 mAh, 5.5% increase compared to iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Not only has the capacity increased, the battery life of the iPhone 16 series has also been significantly improved thanks to the new A18 and A18 Pro chips, along with optimizations in heat dissipation design. In particular, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max promise to have superior battery life compared to the previous generation, despite the battery capacity only increasing slightly.
All iPhone 16 models support 25W MagSafe fast charging and up to 45W USB-C fast charging, but users need to buy an additional MagSafe charger and Apple's new 30W charger to take advantage of this feature.
iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will officially be available on the global market from September 20. With upgrades in battery capacity and fast charging technology, users can expect a more seamless and long-lasting experience on these new devices.
According to rumors, some iPhone 16 series models will have larger batteries than their predecessors. In addition to changes in battery capacity, the new chip on the iPhone 16 series could bring better energy efficiency and even longer battery life.
iPhone 16 series will have improved battery
Accordingly, the new iPhone trio , including iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, will have larger batteries. However, the iPhone 16 Plus will have nearly 9% less battery capacity than the iPhone 15 Plus.

In return, the new Apple A18 and A18 Pro chips will bring significantly better energy efficiency, extended battery life, and improved performance thanks to TSMC's second-generation 3nm process (called N3E).
Previously, TSMC's first 3nm chips produced powerful chips like Apple's A17 Pro silicon, but they didn't have a good balance between power consumption and delivery. However, the chip manufactured on the N3E process has overcome this problem.
