Some information shows that the Vivo X200 phone series will have a 200MP periscope camera.
Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo X200 series of smartphones in China in the coming months. The X200 and X200 Pro are expected to go official in October this year, while the X200 Ultra could go official in the first half of 2025, according to Gizmochina.
Recently, leaker account Digital Chat Station posted a post on Weibo to share information about the camera system on Vivo's X200 Pro and X200 Ultra models.
Vivo X200 series will have 200MP periscope camera
While the leak doesn't specify the device name, the emoji used in the Weibo post suggests that Digital Chat Station could be referring to one of the Vivo X200 series phones.
According to leaked information, Vivo X200 Pro will have a 200 megapixel sensor with a size of 1/1.4 inch, f/2.67 aperture and 85mm focal length. It will have the same Samsung S5KHP9 periscope telephoto camera currently on Vivo X100 Ultra.
Digital Chat Station did not clarify whether the Vivo X200 Pro will inherit the Vivo X100 Ultra's periscope camera or the X200 Ultra will continue to be equipped with this camera.
Reports have claimed that the Vivo X200 will be a compact flagship smartphone with a 6.4-inch or 6.5-inch flat OLED display.
In contrast, reports suggest that the X200 Pro will feature a larger OLED display that will have a slight curvature on all four sides. Like the X200, the X200 Pro will also support 1.5k resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The X200 and X200 Pro are expected to be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset.
On the other hand, the X200 Ultra could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. It is likely that the device will be equipped with a 2K 120Hz OLED display. Currently, other specifications of the device are still unclear.
