Bentley Mulliner recently exploited the super luxury SUV in a different direction
The special edition focuses on the performance and sporty characteristics of the vehicle. From here, the brand launched a collection that only sold 20 cars globally called Apex Edition. The third design theme features a bold exterior finish in Orange Flame and uses the same color as the livery stripe on the carbon fiber body kit.
Instead of contrasting stripes, this design features a satin-coated Orange Flame stripe, creating subtle tonal variation. Inside, the car is covered in Linen with a different Newmarket Tan leather tone. The fourth design theme is painted in Alpine Green, combined with a decorative stripe finished in satin.
The details in the car's kit are highlighted in orange. Inside, the car has color tones such as Portland and Cumbrian Green for the main and secondary leather. Orange accents were "integrated" into the interior by designers with contrasting stitching, seat contours, veneer trim as well as on the dashboard and steering wheel.
The fifth theme features a Pale Brodgar exterior combined with Anthracite stripes and Bacalar Bronze trim, a color originally created for Bentley Mulliner's range-topping two-seater barchetta. Inside, the car is upholstered in Linen and Porpoise to create a comfortable atmosphere and Bacalar Bronze accents on the contrasting seat contours also create a highlight for the car.
The final design theme is highlighted by an Extreme Silver exterior finish, contrasted by the Beluga stripe that runs between the bonnet and roof. Signal Yellow stripes are painted along the body of the vehicle and are decorated on the edges of the aerodynamic elements. Inside, the car is covered in Signal Yellow main leather and Beluga secondary leather, creating an impressive contrast.
Each Bentayga Apex Edition is equipped with sporty details such as front sports tires, rear spoiler, door sills and satin carbon fiber mirror caps. The car has a 5-seat configuration and is equipped with the most advanced Naim for Bentley sound system.
The car's seats are also embroidered with names representing the Apex Edition version with a contrasting Bentley logo or Apex Edition carbon fiber door sills. The car is also attached with a carbon fiber Apex Edition logo on the outside D-pillar. All Apex Edition models are equipped with the latest advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including the Touring Specification package.
The Apex Edition will be special with its durable, lightweight 22-inch Mulliner carbon wheels combined with carbon ceramic brakes. Overall, the car will be sold with 6 unique color scheme options selected by Mulliner's design team. All of these color schemes feature a central livery stripe that extends across the bonnet and hood. 20 places to buy this car will be given priority to those who have previously ordered the Continental GT Le Mans Edition.
Braking performance is also enhanced when Bentayga Apex Edition is equipped with Carbon-Silicon-Carbide (CSiC) brake discs. This equipment reduces weight by more than 20 kg compared to steel disc brakes, provides maximum braking torque of 6,000 Nm and is designed to withstand temperatures up to 1,000°C.
Mulliner also sells this model with a total of 6 color combinations. The first color scheme features a Candy Red paint job featuring a satin finish with Anthracite striping and Arctic White stripes.
Inside the interior, the car is covered in the main Arctic White leather combined with the secondary color Hotspur. The car is also equipped with sporty carbon interior panels. The second color theme of the Apex Edition is a bit dark with an Anthracite exterior and glossy black stripes. The car is also decorated with Mandarin colored stripes that provide contrast. Inside, the car is covered in Mandarin leather combined with Beluga leather, while still having matte carbon decoration on the surface.
The Apex version is based on the Bentayga S with a V8 gasoline engine, 4.0L twin turbocharged capacity, giving the car a capacity of 542 horsepower and a torque of 770 Nm. The car can accelerate from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and the maximum speed the car can achieve is up to 290 km/h.
With the Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll control system and rear-wheel steering system equipped as standard along with a sports sound system, users are promised a particularly exciting driving experience.
With limited production of only 20 Apex Edition units worldwide, the exclusivity of each unit will be guaranteed by Mulliner. Mulliner customers are encouraged to use selected design themes as inspiration and further express their individuality throughout the vehicle personalization process.
